As promised in mid-June 2012 when the first tablet computer known as Surface was introduced to a group of audience in Los Angeles, Microsoft announced the pricing for Surface for Windows 8 Pro. The real Microsoft Surface for Windows 8 RT product was sold to general public in conjunction with the release of Windows 8 operating system on October 26, 2012. Surface for Windows 8 Pro will be available in January 2013.
There will be two models of Surface for Windows 8 Pro. The first model 64GB hard-drive version of Surface Pro will sell for $899. A larger hard-drive 128GB version will sell for $999. Buyers must pay additional $100 to $130 for the special Surface keyboard cover.
Windows 8 Pro tablet runs on the new operating system known as Windows 8. It will be equipped with Intel microprocessor. The new tablet will support legacy applications. Market target will be toward business users.
