One year ago, the newest Boeing's 787 Dreamliner was travelled in a commercial maiden flight from Narita Tokyo to Hong Kong. The flight was conducted by Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA).
After being utilized in several foreign countries, the inaugural flight of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner has landed in its homeland at Chicago O'Hare on Sunday (November 4). The maiden flight in America was conducted by United Airlines. The event was cheered by many aviation supporters who accompany the first flight from Houston (Texas) to Chicago.
Boeing's 787 Dreamliner plane productions were delayed for over three years due to logistic issues. However, airlines companies around the world have placed orders of 800 jets.
One of the advantages of the new plane is on fuel efficient. The new plane uses more innovative materials which is lighter than similar type of jets. Over 50 percent of the plane’s body (fuselage and wings) consists of strong and light composite materials.
