Silicon Valley’s tech companies have been trying to attract great talents and maintained its pool of employees by being great places to work. Perks include free food, free daycare for kids, and providing workouts room and equipment.
According to the latest list of best companies to work for provided by Glassdoor, many workplaces have been trying to achieve an equal work-life balance. However, the 2012 list of companies that had achieved their goals is surprising. Several well-known tech companies that had offered the good life during the past few years have disappeared from this year list, including the world’s largest social networking company Facebook (was at #7 in 2011).
There are still a handful tech focused companies on the latest list. Those companies include CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, RackSpace, and Orbitz. Glassdoor believe those tech companies still offering great benefits to their workers who could balance their office activities and personal life. Tech companies offered benefits such as telecommuting schedules, out-of-office working options, free personal care options, and others.
