A Silicon Valley’s drugmaker, Vivus, has just received approval from America’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for new type of pill for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). The new pill is called STENDRA (avanafil) tablets. Vivus recommended that to be effective, men with ED must take STENDRA 30 minutes before sexual activity. For safety issue, only one dose of STENDRA is recommended per day. There are over 30 million men in America received ED treatment.
Before getting the FDA’s approval, Vivus conducted clinical studies on over 1,200 men with ED and each people in the sample was given three type of doses including 50mg, 100mg and 200mg.
