Google revenues up 24% year over year: the search engine giant reported revenues of $10.65 billion for Q1-2012, compared to $8.58 billion one year ago

After the Wall Street market closed on Thursday afternoon, April 12, Google released its earnings and reported revenues of $10.65 billion for Q1-2012 which using fiscal calendar ended March 31, 2012.  The number one search engine in the world made $8.58 billion one year ago, this was an increase of 24% for the 12-month span.  After paying its partners for bringing in traffic and operating cost during Q1-2012, Google still have a net income of $2.89 billion, compared to $1.80 billion one year ago (or, an increase of $1.09 billion, or an increase of 60.6%).

Google’s properties and sites showed the same growth as the overall growth of the search engine giant company.  Google-owned sites generated revenues of $7.31 billion, or representing 69% of total revenues.  This means an increase of 24% over Q1-2011 where all Google’s sites had revenues of $5.88 billion one year ago.

Google’s partner sites brought in a total of $2.91 billion in Q1-2012, or representing 27% of total revenues.  One year ago, partners generated a total of $2.43 billion, or an increase of 20% from the first quarter 2011.

International operations contributed 54% of total revenues in Q1-2012 or totaled $5.77 billion.  Foreign countries contributed 53% of revenues in Q4-2011 and Q1-2011.  Britain is the largest contributor among all foreign countries which totaled $1.15 billion, or representing 11% of the company’s total revenues.
