Based on a study of eight nations and their social networks usages conducted by Experian Hitwise during the month of August 2011, Singaporeans spent on average 38 minutes and 46 seconds per session. In term of market share for social networks and forums, Singapore ranked number two with 16.4% of all Singapore Internet visits were to social networks in August 2011.
Of the eight countries, Brazil was at the last spot in term of Facebook usages as people live in this Samba country spent an average of 18 minutes and 19 seconds per session. However, Brazil captured the number one spot of market share for social networks and forums. 18.9% of people visiting the Internet from the country who will host future Olympic 2016 were to social networks in August 2011.
The Facebook founder’s country ranked number five of the eight spots as Americans spent an average of 20 minutes and 46 seconds in Facebook during August 2011. America ranked as the number three top market for social networking with a total of 15.4% share of all Internet visits in August 2011.
