The giant search engine company just announced a new mobile app dubbed as Google Wallet in its branch office in New York City. It is an all in one electronic wallet (e-wallet) mobile app by using a handset as wallet. Users can store anything in electronic forms, include credit cards, debits, deals, coupons, cash backs, gift cards, movie tickets, boarding passes, and frequent flyers points, etc.
Along with its in-house Google Prepaid Card, the new mobile app will incorporate e-wallet payment system from Citi MasterCard. The new mobile app also utilizes the industry standard system called near field communication (NFC).
According to the official blog post, the giant search engine company is now testing the e-wallet system in several cities and will soon be released to general public. As per Google blog, during its beta testing, the mobile app will only available thru Google’s own handset (Nexus S 4G). This hardware is powered by Google Android mobile operating system and sells thru mobile network provider Sprint.
