Bleeding on the brain or hemorrhage or aneurysm could be triggered by 8 potential common activities. A team of researcher led by Monique H.M. Vlak, MD, a neurologist at the University Medical Center in Utrecht, Netherlands, has identified 8 most common triggers for people with aneurysm. Common activities such as drinking coffee, having sex, or blowing the nose could increase chance to get a stroke. Researchers used sample of 250 patients to gather their findings. The Dutch’s study is now being published in Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association.
Citing the study, bbc.co.uk reported 8 potential stroke triggers (percentage of risks):
- Coffee 10.6%
- Vigorous exercise 7.9%
- Nose blowing 5.4%
- Sex 4.3%
- Straining to defecate 3.6%
- Drinking cola 3.5%
- Being startled 2.7%
- Being angry 1.3%
According to health experts, brain aneurysm usually related to softness inside human brain’s wall which full of blood vessel. Those 8 common activities could trigger human brain’s wall to burst. Due to forces from those activities, human brain’s wall could rupture and lead to a stroke, as reported by bbc.co.uk. Stroke can result in brain damage, half-death, or fatally death.
