Citing research data provided by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities, several tech bloggers have speculated that the world largest mobile gadget company Apple is set to launch a new iPhone 5 in early October. According to Kuo as cited by appleinsider.com, the new iPhone 5 will use the same chip as iPad 2 which is also known as A5 processor produced by Qualcomm. The A5 processor has CPU clock rate at 1 GHz dual-core, compared to the current iPhone 4 which used A4 processor with CPU clock rate at 800 MHz.
Tech bloggers also speculated that there will be not much change in term of design between iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, while the next generation of iPhone 5 will have a higher resolution 8 megapixel camera in it rear case.
Analysts believed the month of October was picked for launching of the new iPhone 5 because it is the start month of Apple quarterly earnings report. Apple is projected to sell as many as 30 million units for this year's holiday seasons. Industry watchers expect the new iPhone 5 will be available in a testing mode in August. Then by September, Apple’s contactors in China will start building the gadgets.
