The world largest mobile devices company released its second quarter revenue which totaled of $24.67 billion. The number one tech company in Silicon Valley California has the second quarter net profit of $5.99 billion. The latest quarter earnings for January to March (for fiscal calendar ended on March 26, 2011) have broken all previous record sales. In term of revenue, compared to one year ago revenue was at $13.50 billion (an increase of $11.17 billion). In term of net profit, one year ago only has net profit of $3.07 billion (an increase of $2.92 billion).
As global fans are lining up to get their new Apple iPad2 since mid-March 2011, the most valuable tech company in the planet also captured International sales in big time as the latest quarter share from outside America representing 59% of the quarter’s revenue.
Apple iPad2 tablet device was announced by Steve Jobs on March 2 and then this tablet device was available on many electronic stores in America within one week after that. According to the latest earnings report, Mr. Jobs’ company sold 4.69 million iPads during the quarter.
The biggest volume occurred in Apple iPhone family as the smartphone devices were sold 18.65 million units in the quarter. The giant mobile device company also noted that the sales units count for iPhones has increased about 113% from one year ago.
