
One of the top doctors in Britain, Professor Sir Ian Gilmore, has stated recently that the use of heroin and cocaine should have been made legal to fight crime and addiction problems, reported
telegraph.co.uk. By legalizing the drugs, it could also drop the cost of trying to stop drug production by cartels. The top doctors also argued that the cost of fighting crime and terrorism have skyrocketed and taken too much public resources. However, lawmakers in Britain disagreed with top doctors’ views, as they believe drugs substances could be harmful for general public.
