America’s most expensive public school: Los Angeles’s $578 million building for community schools opens for new students in September

America’s most expensive public school in downtown Los Angeles will open its door in September.  The new complex will house K-12 grades students with total occupancies of 4,200 students and cost about $578 million to build, reported AP. 

The complex will carry a very famous family name, Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools, on a piece of land that was the former Ambassador Hotel.
