80 percent of American teenagers (15 to 18-year-olds) have a cell phone. While each teen from this age group sends about 3,000 texts per month or 100 texts per day, and this was an increase of 600 percent from three years ago, reported cbs3.com.
Some cellphone texting addiction indicators for American teenagers include lack of time to do other things in life, eating and sleeping disorder. Other warning signs for teens include ignoring and often lying to others.
