According to the latest data published by nielsen.com, 23% of mobile users in America have a smartphone, compared to one year ago only 16% of them have a smartphone (an increase of 7%).
There are two competing mobile OSs in America, Apple iPhone and Google Android. Both two OSs show significant increase within the past twelve months.
Data compiled by nielsen.com shows that RIM BlackBerry has about 35% share of smartphones in America, follows by Apple iPhone at 28% share. Microsoft Windows Mobile dropped to 19% share. Google Android continues to grow very fast to 9% share.
