The recent economy turmoil in Greece has created many opportunities for world rich and famous people to buy or lease some of 6,000 islands in Greece, reported guardian.co.uk. Although only about 227 Greek islands are currently inhabited, there are still over 5,500 islands could go on sale soon.
Billionaires around the world, such as Britain’s Sir Richard Branson, Russia’s Roman Abramovich, are ready to invest their cash on any one of Greece islands.
As Greece currently owes over $100 Billion bailout money from the EU and the IMF, therefore, any sale or lease of its islands could be used to repay the country huge debts.
