
Using a sample survey and phone interviews of 2,253 adults of 18-year-old and older during the month of August and September 2009,
pewinternet.org found that 57% of respondents have used a search engine to googling themselves online. Compared to 2006, there was only 47% had googled themselves. Majority adults conduct online search to find out more about their name and their digital footprints.
