The California high-speed rail project has just received $2.25 billion in federal stimulus funds. This rail project will connect a 520-mile route within several California cities such as, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Sacramento. According to latimes.com, this mega project could start construction as earlier as September 2012. Rail system experts believe with train’s speed at up to 220 mph, the total time spend to reach between Los Angeles to San Francisco is only about two hours and 40 minutes.
