
A latest study showing that young Americans continue sending text messaging behind the wheel. In the meantime, all 50 states in America have passed strong laws to fight this bad activity, as reported by
reuters.com. The total number of mobile phone texting has reached a record high of over 1 trillion in 2009. According to
reuters.com, California Highway officers have issued over 163,000 tickets for drivers talking on their cell phones. This means that officers had written a lot of tickets for a period of 12 months regarding this issue. Similarly, officers in this most populated state in America also have issued about 1,500 tickets for drivers who texting while operating their cars. The law prohibiting drivers to do texting has been in effect since January 2009 in California.
