
A group of computer hackers held a meeting in Berlin, Germany to announce that they had cracked over 80% of world’s cell phones. Due to lack of protection on mobile phones security code, hackers could intercept calls around the world. The hardest hit were only on phones running global system for mobile communication (GSM), while there were not affecting 3G phones. According to
ft.com, there are currently over 3 billion people in 212 countries using GSM phones.
