A new study by a team of researchers at the University of California San Francisco found that high radiation doses from computed tomographic (CT) scans can increase cancer risks. According to abcnews.com, the use of CT scans has increased significantly during the past twenty years. Americans had only 3 million scans in 1980, compared to 70 million in 2007.
