African-American unemployment rate has increased from 8.9% to 15.7% during the past two years

Today, more African-Americans have no jobs than any other general population in America.  Since recession began two years ago in America, America’s general unemployment rate went up from 4.9% to 10.2%.  In the meantime, based on the latest America’s labor department report, African-American unemployment rate has increased from 8.9% to 15.7%.  As msnbc.com's Allison Linn wrote “[a black worker] occasionally feels that race plays a role in his inability to get a job, especially in this tight job market.”
