
According to a survey conducted by Marist College, as reported by
AP News, almost half of Americans are absolutely annoyed by the use of "whatever" in conversations. While about a quarter of Americans are totally annoyed with the word of "you know.” As per the survey, other really annoying words include "anyway" (about 7% Americans dislike it), "it is what it is" (11% hate it), and "at the end of the day" (2% don't like it).
