The missing link that was given a name as Ida (a well preserved 47-million-year-old fossil skeleton of a female monkey) during a special news conference in New York last May is no longer a human ancestor. This was based on a new finding of a team of researchers at Stony Brook University in New York, as reported by AP News and published thru msnbc.com. Researchers now believe Ida wasn't even a close relative of human at all.
