Last week’s release of Microsoft Xbox-related video game “Halo 4” just earned the software giant company about $220 million in its first 24 hours of release. This week’s another new video game known as Call of Duty franchise was released to general public and have accumulated over $500 million in retail sales globally within its first 24 hours.
The video game maker Activision Blizzard noted that “Call of Duty” is the company’s biggest launch of the year of 2012. The same video game franchise has been updated and released for the fourth consecutive years. It has always raked in a monstrous sales numbers.
Millions gamers had visited over 16,000 retail stores worldwide. Majority of those stores opened in America and Britain at midnight November 13 (Tuesday morning).
“Call of Duty, Black Ops 2” video game can be installed on Xbox 360 video game, PlayStation®3, and Windows PC. While for Nintendo game console, gamers must waiting for few more days. The video game will be released this weekend (Nov 18) but only available for the new Wii U game system.
