Apple opened a newer and bigger brick-and-mortar store in Palo Alto (California) which is located about short miles from the global tech giant's corporate headquarters in Cupertino, Silicon Valley

Apple’s enthusiastic customers including kids, teens, and young adults with their parents had waited in line over night to be the first group of clients to enter the new store in Palo Alto at 340 University Avenue. The brand new brick-and-mortar store will replace the old store which is located just two blocks away. Aside of waiting for over-night, the first 1,000 customers will get a free T-shirt during the first day opening on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

Although the old Apple Store is considered as a very small store compared to the newer store in Palo Alto, it was a very famous hangout place for Steve Jobs. Apple’s co-founder would visit the store very often especially during new products launching such as iPhone and iPad. Apple should convert the old store as a museum for the company’s mobile devices.

The new store has about 15,000 square feet of retail space which is almost 70% larger than the old store. The storefront is full of 25-foot-long wall of glass with a very large Apple logo.

Inside the store, over 150 Apple Store employees will be ready to greet customers. The store includes about 30 units of 25-foot-long tables called the “Genius Bar." At this table customers and employees can sit down and chit-chat to each other about the products as employees also helping customers to setup and start using their devices.
