Silicon Valley is not only famous as a high technology hub, but it is also famous as a drugmaker powerhouse. One of those new generation drugmaker, VIVUS, has its headquarter located in Mountain View, just several blocks from the world’s largest search engine company Google main office.
VIVUS is now officially launched a new pill for helping people to control their weight. The anti-obesity pill is known as Qsymia. This week, the drugmaker introduced the new pill during a medical conference at The Obesity Society's Annual Scientific Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. To promote the new pill, VIVUS also launched a website catered for doctors and patients.
VIVUS received a thumb up from the America’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in June 2012. Later, VIVUS received additional approval for selling the weight loss pills in July 2012. Expect to see more marketing materials to come into TV, print ads, and Internet soon,
