America’s largest toys stores, Toys R Us, introduced a new tablet-computer called as Tabeo with a price tag of $149.99 on Monday morning. The tablet is designed for kids. It will run on operating system provided by Google Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich.” The mobile device will be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, parental control panels, and over 50 apps and games for kids such as "Angry Birds" and "Fruit Ninja." Toys R Us has started to take pre-order for the mobile device. Tabeo will be available at Toys R Us stores nationwide starting on Sunday, October 21, 2012.
The day after the Labor Day, or the unofficial summer season ended, several technology companies have announced new gadgets for this year’s shopping season. Last week Amazon.com showed a new generation of Kindle e-readers and tablet computers, including a new version of e-reader called “Kindle Paperwhite” and a new tablet called “Kindle Fire HD.”
This week Apple is expected to announce its mini size (7-inc) of the popular iPad tablet which is scheduled for shipping in the first week of October.
Then, Microsoft will also launch a new tablet computer called “Surface” by the last week of October, in conjunction of the release of Windows 8 operating system on October 26, 2012.
