Google’s online marketplace that sell apps and hardware which is also known as Google Play, is sponsoring free Wi-Fi to users in America. Users must have mobile devices run on Google mobile operating system known as Android. Owners of smartphones, laptops, tablets and music players will get access to web, chat room, social media, at over 4,000 hotspots across America.
Google Play partners with Boingo Wireless, one of the largest providers of Wi-Fi software and services in the world. According to the press release, Boingo will use its recently acquired company’s technology, Cloud Nine Media platform, to distribute the free Wi-Fi.
Google’s free Wi-Fi will come to airports, hotels, subway stations, shopping malls, cafés and recreational areas in several big cities. The free Wi-Fi locations include 15 airports in America including New York’s John F. Kennedy, Chicago O’Hare and Seattle-Tacoma. The free Wi-Fi will also available in NYC Manhattan subway stations.
