There are many re-designs regarding products, operating system, and services in the world’s largest software company. Microsoft has decided to dump the “Metro” naming convention from its new Windows 8 operating system and changed it to “Modern” style. About two weeks ago, Microsoft launched Outlook (.com) to replace the old Hotmail (.com) email system. The team noted that over 10 million users around the world have signed up and started using the new email service.
This morning the giant tech company also announced that SkyDrive.com, a cloud-storage service, has a face-lift by adding the new Modern UI. This used to be called “Metro” UI.
SkyDrive is companion storage system for synchronizing all Microsoft products, such as Office 365, Office 2013, Windows Phone, and Windows 8 operating system. Microsoft also introduced a new cloud storage service for people who have been using Google Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone.
