According to the South Korean-based company’s senior executive, worldwide sales (incl. Asia, America, and Europe) of Samsung Galaxy S III smartphones have surpassed 10 million units. The latest sales figure was faster than the company has expected.
The world's largest mobile handsets maker introduced Samsung Galaxy S III in late May 2012 in conjunction with Olympic 2012 activities in London.
Citing Shin Jong-kyun, Samsung’s president of information technology and mobile communication division, South Korean-based Yonhap News Agency reported that Galaxy S III smartphones have surpassed the 10 million on Sunday, July 22, 2012. Samsung did not reveal exact numbers of sales.
It took about 5 months for the previous model called the Galaxy S II to hit 10 million sales mark. So, the latest model Galaxy S III is one of the all-time best sellers for the South Korean-based company.
Samsung Galaxy S III is powered by 4 quad core processor and has a 4.8-inch screen. The handset runs on the latest Google Android mobile operating system which is also known as “Ice Cream Sandwich."
