According to the J.D. Power and Associates, initial quality for the cars industry in America in 2012 has improved significantly over 2011. Using the research firm’s Initial Quality Study (IQS) measurement, the quality of cars has improved by 5 points in 2012 which was averaging 102 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). Compared to 2011, the average was at 107 problems per 100 vehicles. With very tight competitions, manufacturers are making better cars than ever before.
Japanese-based Toyota Luxury brand, Lexus, was selected as the top rank in term of quality for the past two years in a row. Lexus received an average of 73 problems per 100 vehicles. Two European brands, Jaguar and Porsche, were at the second spot and received an average of 75 problems per 100 vehicles. It followed by American car maker Cadillac at number four which received 80 problems per 100 vehicles. Another Japanese-based company, Honda was ranked at number five and received 83 problems per 100 vehicles.

Of course it is a great share by JD power and Associates, the graph is the sign of fault in a production. So it is the provocation for both the car manufacturer and the customer to make us alert regarding the production of the quality or chose our favorite brand.
