More consumers flocked into and drove thru McDonald's, one of America’s largest and the most popular fast-food restaurants with thousands of branches around the world. Loyal consumers continue buying their favorite burgers and fries since the New Year of 2012. More consumers also taste the new McDonald's popcorn chicken dubbed as Chicken McBites which was introduced during the quarter. At the same time, the popular fast-food restaurant maintained its healthful choices including garden salads and kids’ favorite happy meals.
This week McDonald's reported revenue of $6.5 billion in Q1-2012, compared to the same quarter one year ago, the hamburger chain generated only $6.1 billion. The latest revenue was an increase of 7% over one year ago. McDonald's also posted a profit of $1.27 billion in Q1-12, compared to profit of $1.21 billion in Q1-11, or an increase of 5%.
McDonald's global sales increased 7.3%. McDonald's sales in its homeland were up 8.9%. Sales in Europe were up 5% while the regions continued to fight debt crisis and bad weather condition during the quarter.
