Google Android mobile operating system remained the number one smartphone platform in America in November 2011 with 46.9% market share, compared to 43.8% share in the end of August 2011. Android’s share has increased about 3.1% during the three-month period.
RIM BlackBerry took the third spot by the end of November with 16.6% share, compared to August which was at 19.7% share, or a drop of 3.1% share.
As the world's largest software company celebrating one year anniversary of the new mobile OS, Microsoft Windows Phone captured only 5.2% share by the end of November 2011, compared to the end of August which was at 5.7% share, or a drop of 0.5% share.
