A study conducted by America’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) found that 45% American kids get alcoholic beverages from their parents, family members, or just took it directly from their home.
The agency believed that a total of 709,000 young kids aged 12 to 14 are drinking alcoholic beverages (i.e., beer and hard liquor) on regular basis, reported HealthDay News.
The government agency also found about 200,000 kids (30%) get alcoholic beverages from their parents and family members. Then, another 100,000 kids (15%) just took the liquor from their home without adult permission.
