America’s ‘Salad Bowl State’ of California will soon be known as ‘Pot State’ while city of Oakland legalized large-scale marijuana farming for medical use

As one of the top agricultural producing state in America, California is best known as the Salad Bowl State.  However, California also struggles to maintain its dominant in agribusiness as the not-so-golden state cut budgets during economy turmoil.  

One of the populous cities in Northern California, Oakland is located about few miles from large city of San Francisco.  Oakland city council just passed a resolution to allow open marijuana farming, reported reuters.com.   The city will only issue about four permits for large-scale marijuana agribusiness starting 2011.  The large-scale marijuana cultivation in Oakland will put drug smugglers out of business soon.
